Christmas themed winter wedding with reindeer cake toppers, decorated Christmas trees, hot cocoa favors and a "Let It Snow" exit.  Usually when you think of Texas, "winter" doesn't come to mind.  But for Melissa and Chris, a Christmas themed wedding turned into the wedding of their dreams!  Held at the beautiful Tuscany Villa in Katy, Texas, three Christmas trees were brought in and decorated in the ballroom.  One of these trees was used for guests to write a note to the newlyweds, which they would then hang on the tree for the bride and groom to keep.

The wedding ceremony was held outdoors, on a rare chilly night in Texas.  Heaters were brought in to keep the guests warm, which helped it to truly feel like a winter wedding.  As the wedding processional began under the strings of lights, the bridesmaids and groomsmen lined up to the side of the altar, which was a fireplace mantle with lit candles and floral on top.  As the parents of the bride and groom lit the unity candle and the bride and groom said their vows, Lauren from Ellanesque made the final preparations to the inside of Tuscany Villa to prepare it for the reception that would immediately follow the wedding ceremony.

As the guests made their way inside after the ceremony, the wedding party gathered in a secluded room for wedding photos.  After a brief period of time, Melissa and Chris, along with their wedding party, came out to enjoy a seated dinner with their guests, with the father of the groom giving the blessing.  The wedding cake itself was a simple, elegant design and had custom reindeer cake toppers made by the bride.  The groom's cake was a Texas A&M themed cake made by a member of the groom's family, and both cakes went over well with the wedding guests.

After the reception dinner, the party began.  Louis from LG Entertainment brought his typical party/club atmosphere to the wedding, and did a great job as Melissa and Chris's wedding DJ.  Since this wedding was held on December 21st, 2012, the day that many believed the Mayans predicted the world would end, Louis incorporated many "end of the world" themed tunes into the playlist, including "It's The End of the World" by REM and "Till the World Ends" by Britney Spears.  The dance floor was packed for most of the night until Louis played a slower song which was requested by a couple of the guests.  Erik from Ellanesque wasted no time in taking a friendly jab at Louis telling him that he has never seen a DJ run that many guests off the dance floor at once!  Louis did an excellent job all night and kept the crowd on their feet!

When they weren't dancing, the guests were enjoying a photo booth with all the props and a S'more station, where they could roast their own S'mores.  Each guest also received a jar containing hot cocoa mix as their wedding favor and were given a small box filled with white confetti for the bride and groom's exit.  In the end, the world would not end, but the night would with Melissa and Chris exiting while their guests covered them in white confetti, or "snow".
