Certified Wedding Planners
Lauren - Founder/Wedding Coordinator
While working with a wedding planner to plan my own wedding back in 2008, I saw firsthand the benefits of hiring a wedding planner as well as the value that a good wedding planner brings. This experience of planning my own wedding piqued my interest in a career as a wedding and event planner. So, after graduating from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Education and realizing that I had no interest in being a part of the bureaucracy that is the public school system, I decided it was time to switch gears and do what I really loved to do: wedding planning!
Before opening up to brides, I made many connections with Houston area wedding professionals and became a Certified Wedding and Event Planner. These established connections, and great relationships with vendors, allowed Ellanesque to provide top quality service from day one when I started the company in 2010, since the "learn as you go" mentality was never an option. This method proved to be an immediate success as our third wedding (and first that we planned from start to finish) won a national "Wedding of the Year" award, given by Pegeen and selected from over 2,500 entries!
I truly believe that relationships are crucial to success in this industry, so I make a point to treat everyone with respect. There is something to be said about working together to solve any problems as they arise as opposed to yelling at the person who made the mistake. Because of this, vendors love working with Ellanesque, and this translates to happy brides because everyone works as a team on wedding day!
When I'm not planning weddings, I am most likely scrapbooking all the memories that have been made with my family, including my husband Erik, son Preston, daughter Hailey, and lovable dog Bentley. I love to travel, especially internationally, and have been blessed with the opportunity to visit Australia, Europe, Thailand, and some Caribbean islands, my favorite being Grand Cayman! I also love to keep Erik busy with house projects, and enjoy shopping at Market Street in The Woodlands.
Your wedding is very important to me, and I look forward to the opportunity to provide you with an excellent wedding planning experience!
LeighAnne - Wedding Coordinator
I have always had an eye for detail. Taking the everyday and making it something truly unique has always been fun for me. It was a way to turn monotonous work into a delightful task that would leave everyone impressed. I would always look forward to my time spent preparing, organizing, and helping someone celebrate their big day in style.
While attending school for my Bachelor's degree, I was able to start putting these skills to good use planning wedding showers for friends and even the occasional baby shower. I then began working in the event industry for various entertainment companies as an event producer and would go on to work at a venue as an event coordinator. Coordinating dozens upon dozens of weddings allowed me to hone my skills as a coordinator and gain a better understanding of how to be truly there for the bride on her special day.
Now, having been in the event industry for over 6 years, I consider myself very familiar with the inner workings of all things event related. I would like to think I gained an eye for excellence, so when I found Lauren and the Ellanesque team, I knew I was seeing something truly unique. What I saw was a rare mix of professionalism, expertise, style and love. This drew me to know and love the team as friends and eventually, as I began to assist in wedding coordination, as their co-worker.
Ellanesque is an exceptional company to be a part of and I truly consider myself lucky to be on a team that has so much dedication to their events. Our insatiable desire to help you create the perfect event ensures that your day will not only be a day for you to remember for the rest of your life, but a day that others will look to as the perfect wedding!
Wedding Planning Business Operations
Erik - Budget Developer & Certified Public Accountant
OK, I'll admit it. Wedding planning is not my thing. However, fortunately for everyone involved, that is not what I do here at Ellanesque. My day job is a financial analyst, and since obtaining my CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license in December 2009, I also do income tax returns.
So what is my purpose here at Ellanesque? Well, besides being married to the founder, I provide any necessary support with the budgeting process of your event. I also serve as the accountant, which to most means that I do a lot of the boring stuff necessary to keep the business running smoothly. What that means for you is that your coordinator will not be distracted by having to worry about the behind the scenes stuff and can focus on what is important to you, which is planning your event. Also, this gives Ellanesque a competitive advantage since you will have the advice and the budgeting know-how of a CPA at your fingertips if needed!
The logic is simple - assemble a team of passionate people who really care about you and your event, all having different talents necessary to make it all work. That's the beauty of Ellanesque!
